Meet Mercy

A girl with a big heart, a difficult encounter, and a new way to see.

Sometimes kindness takes practice.

Mercy is frustrated when Billy calls her names and pulls her hair. Mama responds with an unexpected craft project: a pair of “eyes of faith” glasses that help Mercy remember to look beyond what she can see.

As Mercy learns more about Billy’s pain, she faces a choice about how to respond. Later, she discovers that even grown-ups sometimes need a reminder to see with patience and love.

The story draws on 2 Corinthians 5:7 and explores compassion, forgiveness and faith in everyday family life.
